Refinancing

Your circumstances change. Your home loan should keep up. A refinance review looks beyond a headline rate to see whether a different structure or lender could make sense for you.

A lower rate is only part of the story

We’ll review your current balance, rate, repayments, remaining term and the features you actually use. Then we can compare potential alternatives alongside application fees, discharge costs, valuation costs and any fixed-rate break costs.

Know your break-even point

If switching costs $2,000 and your repayments reduce by $150 a month, a simple break-even estimate is about 13.3 months. That illustration excludes ongoing fee changes and other factors. It is not a quote or a promise of savings.

Keep an eye on the loan term

Extending a loan back to 30 years can lower the monthly repayment while increasing the total interest paid over time. We’ll compare the remaining term as well as the repayment so you can make an informed decision.

Staying put may be an option

Sometimes a pricing review with your existing lender is worth exploring before switching. Sometimes a different lender or loan structure may be more suitable. There is no obligation to refinance just because you start a review.

What happens next

Start with your approximate balance, current rate and remaining loan term. Blake will explain what can be compared and what needs to be confirmed. Any refinance remains subject to lender assessment and approval.
